Our Amelia dress – in common with Emmeline – is designed to mark another milestone of a fiery trailblazer: Amelia Earhart. Amelia was the first woman to fly across the Atlantic as a passenger 90 years ago, in 1928. But as Amelia would say: There’s more to life than being a passenger. She would later become the first woman to fly across the Atlantic as a solo pilot.
Our Amelia dress is cleverly designed as both a maternity and a nursing dress. Made from premium stretch jersey, the pleated and gathered sections around the bodice cascade beautifully to create a Grecian-esque feel. The integrated panel insert may be pulled outwards easily to allow for privacy when nursing. The garment is fully lined for a flattering silhouette.
Our Amelia dress is also available as a special edition in ‘the colours’ of the Suffragettes: purple as the Royal colour, white for purity, and green as an emblem of hope.
